Project2010: 034 of 375 (January 24th)

Escapism from the continued grey drudgery that is the weather of late. It's so dark that the lights need to be on at all times to illuminate any scene to a visible level.

For me this has something of a celestial feel, like satellites in exit paths or re-entry arcs.

I apologise for the delayed submission; I have been having fairly serious connection problems on top of everything else. I'll try to get caught up in the next couple of days, assuming that nothing new befalls me in the meantime.

All this series is really impressive, Darren!
I really like how you play with colors and shades!

Ah, thank-you kindly, I appreciate you taking the time to look at these works. They've generally been under-appreciated over the years and as a process I never really perfected the technique. Apparently you can do all this with an iPhone app these days, heh.

It's a pity you left this kind of study, for me it works greatly!
With iPhone you can do a lot of exciting things (like this one, for example: michilauke.deviantart.com/art/... so everyone can be "an artist", but the knowledge about how making them is for few people! ;P

Heh; I'm sure it's something that I will experiment with again at some point in future.

It feels like a bursting Summer Sun, to me. One that's waking to a clear blue sky. My pupils keeps wanting to adjust for a light off to the lower left that'll never actually get any brighter.

'm really liking the vibrancy between the two colours. They're both just as strong in their own respective spectrum so it's like a tug of war for power - but neither will win.

The play between the two tones is what I'm fond of, too, aside from the inevitable space imagery that it conjures in my head.

I look at this and see the most beautiful sunrise. It feels warm.

Yeah, it certainly has a celestial aesthetic; which is why it's one of my favourites so far, ahah.

It really does capture something.

(which is making my poor, detail- and representational-oriented head hurt a bit.)
