Distant Earths by arctoa Distant Earths by arctoa

Project2010: 043 of 375 (February 2nd)

After a few days away from home I'm once again behind with submissions; this'll get worse in the coming week as I'm not going to be around. I'm still keeping up with the creation, however.

The title comes from the Blindead track of the same name, which can be heard here. It's a piece for those who enjoy the likes of Neurosis and Cult Of Luna.

Looks best in full-view; the preview image compresses the composition somewhat.

It feels painted, otherwordly.

Which is the point of the piece, conceptually. Bonus points for it getting across, mayhap?

Boiling, heavy, apocalyptic clouds like lead, and a warm wind...

An interesting change of pace from all of the cold submissions!

Heaviness indeed, I'm glad that comes across; and I agree, it's rather different. Hah. I'm not sure where the cool blue kick came from really, aside from the prevalent temperature at present.

Hey, I haven't been minding the cool blue kick at all! Though the range of what hits my inbox is often almost as interesting as the images themselves.
