Another image from the mothballed Spillers Mill, since demolished. Part of a larger series that explored abandoned industry, entitled Forlętan.

Future candidate for revision; I need to experiment with different ways of further processing these images out of regular perception; gritty texture additions, perhaps.

Looking through your gallery.. I like what I see.. interesting shots that capture the imagination and then I came across this and the other photos that accompany what seem to be a mini-series. And honestly, I don't think this photo in-particular fits. It looks unattractive, and as a viewer I want my eyes to dazzle and dance when I look at a photo. I get the idea of the mini-series and I think the other shots are better in that they offer a bit more, but in my opinion, this photo doesn't do it at all for me.

I agree that this is one of the weaker images from the series; the works themselves are supposed to be presented in a certain order (they aren't on dA - at least, not yet) which is why it was uploaded in the first place. That said, I appreciate the critique.

Those vertical lines are very strong and they frame those wall markings really well.

But what does it mean?

To me, it's an expression of passing time and lost moments; fragments of memory. This piece, and some others from the series, are something of a prologue to others that follow later; it's a photo-story, of sorts.

I really like the contrast between the two-dimensional patterns on the wall ("flatworms" was the first thing that came to my childishly naive mind) and the tree-dimensional "framing" on the left and right. Well done!
