Project2010: 070 of 375 (March 1st)

First piece of March 2010, and the 70th overall since the start of the year. If I reach a century of pieces I'll be impressed, despite the streamlining of the criteria that has taken place since January 1st.

Plantlife is a regular subject of my photography; the patterns and shapes that it creates is something that is of great interest to me.}

The layering of the soft and sharp focus in this, and the subtlety of the flip. It makes the branches' reaching somehow darker-feeling - they're not reaching for the sun, they're reaching for something on the ground.
