The first lights
are always the brightest:
A lunar entrapment greets newborn cries
in the (ampi)theatre; appliance-white
audiences sound alarms of appreciation for
twitching limbs and erratic heartbeats
brought forth (too early) to this planetary
stage of enchantment.

Six weeks short would turn to
six feet tall, and with life-flashing
mental movies my plot-circles revolve;
exposing galactic mysteries with
a grim resolve:
And it goes a little
something like

0mega Over,
it's over,
over and over and
over again.

It's over I know,
and it just goes to show
that what's happened before
will happen again
as we lie on our backs
and dream of the end...

Two nights on from the Fallout.
forty-eight cycles of this battered hour-hand,
and still the fires from the East burn bright in the night.
upon these hills, home is a macabre panorama;
a parody of surrealist daydreams.

Against this scene, hands clasp.
I look around, and down, then back into those eyes.
"This is the end," I say. "We're nothing in the face of this--"
An interruption, as another tower falls to ground

Project 2010: 066 of 375 (February 25th)

Hand-held IR exposure, entirely unedited save for cropping. Came about after an infuriating tripod failure; I was down at the shore to take long-exposure shots of the crashing waves against rocks.

Next tripod I buy I'll be doing so in-person, I own a heavy camera and these budget ones just don't do the job.

Could end up in Scraps, in future.}

^{Unedited indeed; my tripod is as cheap thing and my camera is rather heavy; I was down there to take long exposures to convert later but it was windy so you can imagine what kept happening, heh.}
