Project 2010: 066 of 375 (February 25th)

Hand-held IR exposure, entirely unedited save for cropping. Came about after an infuriating tripod failure; I was down at the shore to take long-exposure shots of the crashing waves against rocks.

Next tripod I buy I'll be doing so in-person, I own a heavy camera and these budget ones just don't do the job.

Could end up in Scraps, in future.

An appropriately dark and fragmented description, indeed.

Unedited indeed; my tripod is as cheap thing and my camera is rather heavy; I was down there to take long exposures to convert later but it was windy so you can imagine what kept happening, heh.

That's just... it pulls me in, but I don't want to go. Wherever it is, there's no hope there.

(that red is amazing.)

It came out surprisingly well considering I was in a sulk at the time.

(I'm glad you like it.)

Heh, yeah, I was determined to get something out of the session; although at the time I was also melodramatically frustrated.

Thank-you for the comment and for your support; it's appreciated.

No matter which way I look at it, I can't help but call to mind A Natural Disaster. The obvious bit being it's the same tone of red, but I think it carries along some of that feeling of hopelessness.

That was a title I considered, along with Katatonia's Great Cold Distance as the artwork is rather similar in tone and aesthetic.
