This is the tenth image from a series entitled Everything Must Go, a study of Whitley Bay and the state that it is in. This was produced as a college project, and while it's something of a botch-job I think it's a theme that I can develop further using different locales, or even all of them culmitavely.

This image was taken just off Station Road, one of the former main shopping streets in the town. This should give you an idea of the condition that the town is in.

The shot is somewhat shabby, I know.

There will be more from this series, along with a continuation of uploads for the Deadwood series of shots taken at Cramlington Park, in the near future.

Cheers for that; I almost didn't upload this one.

Regardless of how you feel about it, I really like this image. It gives a very real sense of urban decay, forgotten hopes and discarded dreams.
:iconarctoa:
I d'know, I just feel like I've made a sloppy job of capturing the scene.
:iconlimnides:
You know what you're capable of, so I can't argue with that.

On a somewhat relevant side-note: I'd really like to see you create a 2009 calendar of this series. I think I'd buy it an' stuff. :B
:iconarctoa:
We'll see about that. It's certainly not something that I have considered before.
:iconm-playc3ll:
Oh, how come? Unsatisfactory?

Yeah, it feels a little too much like a flat snapshot for my liking but it's part of the series that I submitted for college so it's been included here, too, for the sake of completeness if nothing else.
:iconm-playc3ll:
Ah, I see. I still like it. I think it's the monotone feeling that gets to me here, you know. Like a panel from an old graphic novel.
