Project2010: 041 of 375 (January 31st)

Last piece for January.

This was taken in the garden. It would be interesting to take some similar shots next to Newcastle airport, where the planes are much lower in the sky. Less altitude will give me much more detail, although less negative space.

It's a simple title for a simple image; I was going to make mention of the contrail (or chemtrail, if the conspiracy theorists are to be believed) but it didn't seem necessary or appropriate.

I love the simplicity of this and, while there isn't very much to be included, the composition looks great~ Love it.

If I ever needed a visual representation of "freedom", I think I would use this. The clarity of the blue feels like infinity, and the choice in orientation say "elevation".

The contrail lends something of a push to the image: the upward motion is by no means effortless. It makes a very minimal image pack quite the punch.

Yeah, I agree; the original composition had the contrail leading left-right but it didn't have any presence compared to this. I would have shot it this way in the first place but I was already hanging dangerously out of the window to catch it.

Suffering for one's art generally does not entail falling out of windows.
