Substring sonority
Replicant diaphone call
pressed
through dead air
space

Between waves
and the hours unwound
in down
and cotton-mouth
swan-song:

Time is tied in knots
around ankles
cold
and caught
in the undertow.

Project2010: 028 of 375 (January 18th)

Another deliberately-fragmented piece, only this time without such obvious reference. Think fog, shipwrecks, space, insomnia, and death monologues. Additionally, a diaphone was regularly used to sound warnings: most commonly as a fog horn.

Not sure what to think of this one, however the nature of the project is to upload what I have. My major irk is the repetition of 'undertow' from my last piece; it appears to be my word of the week. It stays because I am indeed prone to recycling phrases; however, never before in less than 24 hours. Ahaha.

A likely candidate for future revision.
